London is one of favourite cities in Europe and rightly so for all the right reasons. The city has always amazed me and the accessibility to the city is always helpful with so many airports in London and the nearby areas, for example, Heathrow Airport, the main airport, Luton, Stansted, Gatwick, not forgetting an efficient rail and bus system linking up to the nearby cities. Visa requirements are much different now from 2025 onwards, now an ESTA visa needs to be approved in advance for most nationalities and takes a few days to process, but Irish citizens can enter visa-free, at least for the time being
Here’s a list of my top places to visit in London
Tower Bridge– Really famous landmark and such a great location to begin the London trip with some nice views of the River Thames and the surrounding areas. The bridge is iconic to London and one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. Definitely one of the most visited places in Europe.

Big Ben- The clocktower has recently been renovated and again iconic to London and featured in a couple of the well-known London movies. It took about 15 years to build and is about 315 feet tall.

The Happy Potter Platform 3 3/4– Located inside the Kings Cross Train Station and a popular location for those who watched the movies.it’s important to queue up and take a picture at the famous wall, before taking a trip inside the gift shop for souvenirs.

London Eye– One of the best places to get some great views over the entire city.
